Arrival estimates vary by location, traffic and technician availability. Call for the current estimate before dispatch.
Yes — 365 days a year, including all holidays. We staff full teams overnight and on weekends. Late-night and holiday calls include a small after-hours fee, which we always quote upfront before we head out — no surprises.
Key Rescue Washington is bonded and insured. Ask dispatch for current coverage details before booking.
We quote upfront, in writing, before any work begins. The price we quote is the price you pay. A small travel fee may apply for outlying areas, and after-hours calls include a night fee — both always quoted upfront, never a surprise. If scope changes, we tell you first.
All of the Spokane area — across Spokane County (Spokane, Spokane Valley, Cheney, Liberty Lake, Airway Heights, Medical Lake) and North & Valley (Millwood, Mead, Deer Park, Nine Mile Falls, Chattaroy, Otis Orchards, Newman Lake, Four Lakes), plus Fairfield and surrounding communities. See our Service Area page.
Yes. For non-emergency work we provide a free on-site estimate with no obligation. For emergency lockouts, we quote by phone before dispatching.
Lockouts

5 questions

Call us at (509) 388-9803. While you wait, check all other entry points. Do not try to force the door — you'll damage the frame and increase repair costs.
In almost every case, yes. We pick most residential locks in under two minutes with zero damage. Drilling is a last resort we use only when picking fails. We always attempt non-destructive entry first.
We do not break locks unless there is absolutely no alternative. If destructive entry is ever necessary, we'll tell you before we do it and explain why.
Just your location and the make/model/year of your vehicle. We document the job with photos as part of our standard process.
Call your landlord or property manager (legally required to help), or call us directly. We'll get you in fast without waiting for your landlord.

Rekeying changes the internal pins so old keys no longer work — the hardware stays. Replacing means a whole new lock. Rekeying takes about 10 minutes per lock and is the cheaper option. Choose rekeying when the lock is in good condition.
We quote per lock, in writing, before we start — most homes have 2–4 locks and the whole job is done in one visit. We also do same-key service so all locks use one key.
Yes — called key consolidation. We rekey all locks to one key. Same cost as a standard rekeying job, and incredibly convenient.
Always rekey when you move in. You have no idea how many copies of the previous key exist. It's the single highest-impact security upgrade you can do.
ANSI Grade-1 is the highest residential security rating — these bolts withstand 250,000+ cycles and 10 kick-in attempts. Most homes ship with Grade-2 or Grade-3 hardware. We recommend Grade-1 on all exterior doors.
Smart Locks

All major brands: August, Schlage, Yale, Kwikset, Ultraloq, Wyze, Level, Ring, and Nest. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Z-Wave, Zigbee, and Matter. If you bought it, we install it.
In most cases, yes. Smart locks replace standard deadbolts and need a standard ANSI 2-1/8" bore. We handle any door prep needed.
Yes. We troubleshoot dead batteries, failed connections, stripped gearboxes, misaligned bolts, and app pairing issues. Most repairs take under 30 minutes on-site.
Most smart locks include a key cylinder backup. We always program both during installation so you have a fail-safe if the app goes down.
Car Keys

5 questions

Yes. We cut and program from scratch using your VIN. You need proof of ownership (registration or title) and a valid ID.
It depends on the key type — a basic transponder key is the least, a smart / push-start key more, luxury brands the most. We quote a firm number before we head out, and it is well below the dealer. See our Car Keys page for details.
Yes — key cards for Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X. You'll need your Tesla account credentials and vehicle PIN during programming.
80% of fob issues are a dead battery — a quick, cheap fix. If a new battery doesn't work, we diagnose before recommending any replacement.
Yes — we come to you. Home, work, parking lot — 24/7 across the entire Spokane area. No towing required.

A hierarchical key structure where a master key opens all locks while individual keys only open specific doors. We design and install complete systems.
Yes — standalone keypads, card readers, fob systems, and full networked access control. We work with HID, Schlage, Allegion, and Lenel.
A motorized strike plate that releases remotely — triggered by buzzer, keypad, or access control. Allows remote door release without a key. Common in offices and apartment lobbies.
